With chapters on city architecture, painting, sculpture, film, and theatre. Written by Eberhard Roters, a German art historian and museum curator who was the founding director of the Berlinische Galerie and the author of many works on the art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Bound in the original paper covered binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light shelf wear to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
