About This Item
Benjamin Holt's Boys and What They Did for Him, by the author of A Candle Lighted by the Lord (Mrs Ross).
Hardback, second edition, year uncertain but appears to be either 1888 or 1889 (FFEP has inscription from Christmas 1889) published by S. W. Partridge & Co., London, 94 pages with a 16-page catalogue of other releases from the same publisher at the end of the book.
In good condition for age. Some fading to spine but patterning and lettering still quite clear. Attractive pictorial boards, which do have scuffs, marks and some discolouration but have retained much of their colour, patterning and gilt detail. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Corners bumped. Binding reasonably firm. Page edges a little marked but very clean for age. Gift inscription to FFEP and endpapers are a bit marked but otherwise page surfaces are very clean, with no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. A nice copy.
