About This Item
Lorrimer Publishing. ** 1ST ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDITION ** STATED 1ST PRINTING, 1971 ** NEAR FINE HARDCOVER ** VERY GOOD DUSTJACKET ** NOT A LIBRARY BOOK ** CLEAN, STAIN-FREE, UNMARKED ** WITH 3 PHOTO SECTIONS ** Published in London by Lorrimer Publishing Limited, 1st Printing, 1971, with 168 pages, octavo (8vo),with 3 photo sections. Perhaps the hardest title in this series to find today. Well-made book bound in sturdy black cloth-covered boards with bright gilt letteing embossed on the spine. The book itself is almost flawless, with only 2 small spots of soil on the copyright page, and a slight shelf ding or bump to the top edge of the front board the only defects keeping the book from being Fine or As New. The cloth binding is still crisp and fresh. The book is clean and stain-free, square and straight, quite firm and tight in its binding, no pages are loose, missing, or torn. The hinges are sound and undamaged, the corners are sharp and unbumped. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or other such markings in the book. All text and photographs are sharp and legible. The dustjacket has a sticker at the bottom of the rear panel for Frederick Ungar Publishing Co., the American distributer for the book. The dustjacket is neatly price-clipped; I have seen 3 copies of this book over the years, all price-clipped in exactly the same way. I am convinced all jackets were so clipped by the American distributer to remove the British price. The jacket is otherwise complete. The dustjacket is quite clean and stain-free, is lightly worn along the edges, with a short, closed edge-tear at the top of the front jacket panel that matches the bump to board previously mentioned, and another slight, quite short closed tear at the bottom edge of the front panel, and quite occasional, light rubbing to the jacket surfaces, barely noticeable.
