Methuen & Co., London, 1910 Good + no dustjacket. First Edition. 8vo. pp. xiii, 306 + 31 pages publisher's adverts. Original maroon cloth binding with gilt lettering and vignette of a Geisha Girl to the spine. spine is a touch sunned/dulled with rounding and light wear to both ends. all corners lightly rounded but no loss. foxing to ffeps and isolated spots to text, and similar to edges of textblock which are untrimmed. all pages present and firmly bound. an uncommon title - giving an insight to life in japan at the beginning of the 20th century. no inscriptions. faint musty smell from poor prior storage now resolving. collectable.
