The present book consists of a series of lectures delivered in Janurary and February (1914) at Union Theological Seminary, NY., in terms of the Ely Foundation. The author's objective has been to investigate the aims and beliefs of the Christian community in the time preceding the advent of Paul. Ten lectures present from the first lecture " The First Days" through to lecture ten "The Earliest Christianity." An index is supplied. Black boards with gilt title print to spine. No ownership markings. Title print dulled. Minor spotting to front board which appears to be small damp-stain. This book remains solid and most serviceable.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good.
