In brown cloth covered boards with gilt design on front, gilt titles on spine. Illustrated endpapers. Landscape 24mo. Cloth slightly bruised at spine ends, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original, illustrated dust jacket, price clipped, a little toned and lightly bumped at edges. A gloriously illustrated remembrance of a life before the second world war, from his birth, the only son of the famous Harley Street heart specialist, to his enlistment at the outbreak of war, his career as an artist in charming detail.
