Hardcover. x+48p., Academy of American Poets card laid-in, very good first edition, first printing stated in boards and unclipped, bright dj. 1994 Walt Whitman Award of the Academy of American Poets. First book of poetry. Judge was Robert Pinsky. Richman worked for SF Gate and taught at the Academy of Art until becoming embroiled in a controversy over a student's composition which resulted in the student's expulsion and her firing. She was defended by Stephen King, Salman Rushdie and Alan Kaufman.
