Edinburgh: Arch. Constable and John Brown, 1808. First edition. Hard Cover. Tipped into Vol. 1 is a beautiful five color map of Scotland engraved in 1807. ALL VOLUMES BOUND IN FULL LEATHER SHOWING ITS AGE BUT SOUND AND INTACT - ONE VOLUME HAS SMALL WATER STAIN ON REAR AND THERE IS GENERAL LIGHT WEAR. SPINE LETTERING AND EMBOSSED DESIGNS ARE ALL PRESENT, ALTHOUGH DIMMED. THE INTERIOR HAS ALL PLATES, WITH ONLY A FEW FOXED, AND REMARKABLY CLEAN PAGES WITH VERY OCCASIONAL FOXING, BUT VERY LITTLE. ALL IN ALL, THIS IS A CLEAN, TIGHT SET. UNCOMMON.
