About This Item

1621 Saint Fulgentius of Ruspe Tunisia St Augustine Philosophy Africa Sermons

Fulgentius of Ruspe was a 5th-century bishop of the Roman city of Ruspe in Tunisia. Known as Saint Fulgentius, and not to be confused with Fabius Planciades Fulgentius author of 'Mythologies', this lesser-known theologian wrote works following the teachings of Saint Augustine, giving attention to Arianism and Pelagianism. The surviving works simply include letters and sermons.
