I design WW II naval games, to get to the point where the game has realism, I immerse myself in printed word of the subject of myintrest. It is books like "The Battle of the TORPEDO BOATS", and others on this subject that help me prepare the rules and scenario packages that give my games their realism.Seminal works such as this book gave me much to help narrow down that experience for the gamers that play my games. Overall stratagy and tactic's can be gotten in other volumns on this subject, but for that rush of a small craft crash starting, and engaging the enemy more closely, the grind of war,and the smell of the salt and fog, you can only get in a very limited amount of books, the ones written by the people that were there. This is not a what did you do in the war daddy? book. It is the real thing.
