First edition thus in English, translated from Russian by David Fidlon. Dust-jacket protected by reinforced mylar covers that have been pasted to inside of front and rear boards. Not an ex-libris copy, from a private collection. No previous ownership marks. An account, from a prominent Soviet military commander, of the Red Army's defense and eventual triumph in the Caucasus' July 1942 - October 1943. A clean, square, unmarked copy.
