1936. Limited Edition . Soft cover. Near Fine. Introduction by Henry Miller. 8vo. Original stiff printed wrappers. Carrefour, Paris, New York (1936). Limited to 400 numbered copies. This copy # 94. Inscribed on the front endpaper by Henry Miller, To Raymond Queneau from Henry Miller Paris 6/36. Raymond Queneau, the French novelist, poet and critic, was a friend of Miller in Paris in the 1930s. He was also acquainted with André Breton, leader of the Surrealist movement, Anais Nin, Blaise Cendrars, Lawrence Durrell, and others of the Paris scene. An important association copy. Wrappers slightly soiled; 1-inch tear at head and heel of spine; o/w fine.
