In 204 pages + Index, with 40 black-and-white photos throughout & 2 full-color plates & frontispiece from a painting by Warren E. Guggenheim. Orig. published in Aug. 1945, this is the Second Printing of that First Edition from Oct, same year. Hardcover book has burgundy publisher's cloth over boards with embossed design to front & faded gilt lettering to spine. Condition is Near Fine: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages off-white with modest tanning, heavier at edges. Bumping to corners, mild rubbing to extremities & slight pushing to heel of spine.
