New York: Scribner's, 1933. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. Scribner "A" and Seal both present. Near fine in a very good jacket, unclipped ($3.00), toned on the spine, lightly worn at the edges with a tape repair on the head of the spine. Blue buckram with gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound with a blue top stain. Former owner's gift inscription on the front endpaper. Charles Edward Russell was a newspaper reporter whose political affliction informed his reporting. The book is his telling of Henry George, the Free Trade League, and the bosses of New York City.
