London: A. H. Bullen, 1902. Hardcover. Very good. vi, [2], 79 p. 23 cm. Green cloth hardcover with gold lettering. Spine ends a little softened. Bookplate on front endpaper. Opposite page discoloured. Some spotting towards rear.
Carman is one of the Confederation Poets, a group which also includes his cousin, Charles G.D. Roberts, as well as Archibald Lampman, and Duncan Campbell Scott. Of these four, Carman achieved the widest international recognition. The bookplate may be that of Major General Joseph Bonus of the Royal Engineers and Bombay Sappers and Miners (1836-1926).
