About This Item
Robert Williams Service was known as the "Bard of the Yukon". His 'Ballads of a Cheechako' was his second published book, first printed in Canada in 1908. This is the first American edition, published in 1909. Although reprints and digital copies abound, there are very few hardbound copies in good condition, therefore it is rare.
Green cloth boards with stamped gilt lettering of title and author in decorated gilt border on front cover. Gilt lettering on spine. Top and Botton of spine show edge wear and there is also some wear to corners and margins. No markings in text, binding is still tight, pages show age toning only. Some foxing on front and back endpapers.
Frontispiece photo portrait of the author.
A collectible rare find in this condition. Mylar protected.
