A "traditional ballad based, imaginatively, on the life of Isabel Gunn, on Orcadian who disguised hersalf as a man in order to join her lover in the service of the 'Hudson's Bay Company'. She shipped from Scotland to Canada in 1803, and worked with" them until she was found out. Glossy soft cover, green titling to front, black titling to spine, signed and inscribed 'for Phyllis' by the author to half title, several black and white illustrations, 58 pages. Light edge wear, a small light crease to top free corner of front cover, light age darkening to cover.
