Boston: Fields, Osgood and Co, 1870. Pamphlet. Poor. Large pamphlet, LACKING any wrappers that were issued. 8 pp. plus 2 and 1/2 of 4 color chromolithographs present. LACKING two illustrations. Present are the illustrations of Lincoln on a riverboat, and one of him chopping wood. Illustrations by Sol. Eytinge. Crudely sewn along the side. Double columned text. A poem for children memorializing the life of Abraham Lincoln. Bayard Taylor was a noted 19th century American poet and travel writer. POOR condition, with the aforementioned pieces MISSING. Very heavy chipping and tearing along the extremities, with a large piece of the lower center title page DETACHED but present. Large pieces missing from the margin of the last illustration, with the illustration creased and effectively torn almost completely in half. Moderate toning to the paper, with general overall soiling to the title page and scattered soiling throughout. Faint dampstain affecting the upper right portion of the pages. Paper rather brittle and in danger of deteriorating further.
