Complete in two divisions, bound across four volumes. the books are divided into two divisions, the first division is split into three and the second division is complete within one volume.The Bagford Ballads were English ballads collected by John Bagford for Robert Harley. The ballads were assembled from the materials he had collected. The Bagford Ballads are generally folk compositions that document the last years of the Stuart reign to the close of the 17th century. With the original woodcuts throughout the text and with a frontispiece to each volume apart from volume iii. In half calf with cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart with some marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages. Very Good
