This scarce photo-illustrated Danish publication depicts the horrors of Nazi concentration camps, shown as they were in the aftermath of liberation. Images included here were taken on behalf of the Allied War Crimes Comission, at the Buchenwald, Dachau, Belsen, Flossenberg, Wöbbelin, and Gusen (Mauthausen) concentration camps, and other areas, showing all manner of atrocities, including survivors, the sick, mass graves, and human remains. Many of the victims at the camps shown hear were POWs and political prisoners. Each page has two images, with all images captioned underneath. Text throughout in Danish. Wrapper lightly age toned, with some rubbing along the spine. Light staining to covers. Small stain on the back cover. Fairly clean with some minor damp stains and rippling mostly in the margins of pages. Images and text clean. Wrappers in very good-, interior in very good condition overall.
