New York: Signet Books, 1957. First Edition - Paperback Original. Signed by the author Paddy Chayefsky to his publisher: “To Mr. Kurt Enoch, Sincerely, Paddy Chayefsky”. A movie tie-in edition of the complete screenplay of the film The Bachelor Party written by Paddy Chayesfky, based on his story with the same title, issued to accompany it’s release. Illustrated with 8 pages of scenes from the film which was directed by Delbert Mann, starring Don Murray, E.G. Marshall, Jack Warden, Philip Abbot, and Carolyn Jones - who received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Very good plus bright copy with a hint of use. From the library of Dr. Kurt Enoch (1895-1982) who was a noted German publisher, forced to flee the Nazis, landing in New York in 1940. In 1948, Dr. Enoch co-founded and became President of New American Library - Signet Books which became one of the successful and acclaimed post-war publishing houses. Enoch went on to become one of the most highly regarded figures in American book publishing. Signet #S1385
