London: Frederick Warne & Co, 1890. Softcover. vg. Small folio. Unpaginated, 6 leaves [12 pages] + illustrated front and back interior wrappers. Illustrated tan heavy- stock glossy wrappers, with red and blue lettering on the front cover. "Mounted on Linen - Untearable", advertised at the top of the front cover. An undated delightful children's ABCs book illustrated throughout with lovely multicolor chromolithographic images, including the front and back wrappers. Each letter is accompanied by usually 2-3 examples of words, and images displaying said words. Two letters per page. Unidentified illustrator's "AJ" imprint at the bottom corner of every page.
Wrappers with rubbing along the spine and a tiny chip to the bottom right corner of the front cover. Wrappers lightly creased and smudged. Book block a bit loose but still holding. Pages quite clean throughout, save for some very light water staining along the edges of the 5th and 6th leaves. Wrappers and interior in overall very good condition. Protected in modern mylar.
