In this classic Akkadian glossary, Bezold provides a brief entry for each word. He provides definitions in German and occasional parallel Akkadian terms. Following Bezold's death, the text was prepared for press by Albrecht Gotze and Adele Bezold (Bezold's wife). Frau Bezold also prepared an extensive index of German definitions.

Previous owner's name in ink at upper margin of front free endpaper. Ex-library copy, with sticker at upper front joint and tail of spine; bookplate on inside of front cover, and stamp at top and bottom paper edges. Text in German. Binding and interior in very good condition.
