Harvard University Press, 1980. First Edition . Cloth. Fine/Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Large, sturdy book, quality red cloth, two very tiny white spots at top front, very bright gilt lettering on spine, light yellow color inside covers and adjacent end papers, 242 lightly browned pages, with many charts and photographs from field studies. DJ glossy with photo of mother and baby baboon on front, cream spine and back, praise at top back from Alison Jolly, Jerome Kagan, and Jane Lancaster. DJ has very thin tear at top front edge, micronick at spine top edge, tiny crease and light wear to spine bottom edge, tiny brown spot and micronick at bottom back, tiny tear at top back tip. Good DJ/Fine book.
