This well-plotted, fast-paced and suspenseful crime fiction novel is a thrilling adventure with the authenticity and impact of future headlines. The story is around Tony Bartlett, an Australian journalist stationed in Kenya. He flies south to cover the story of the hijacking in Johannesburg of a South African airliner. The Australian author's first novel took a year of research in South Africa. He was born in Australia but left to hitchhike through Europe and Africa, at the age of 18. He did many jobs before he became a journalist in 1956. First edition stated.
