Biographical portrait of the well to do Sneade family who lived in Bath, Shropshire and the small rural community of Ayot St. Lawrence in the late 18th-early 19th centuries. Based on documents and letters discovered by the author. Illustrated with black and white plates. Slight wear on dust jacket edges. Slight marking on DJ. Green boards. Slight wear/bending on board turning points. Staining on edges of a few pages(not severe). Slight foxing on some pages. Dust jacket has not been clipped. . Very Good. First Edition. 1965.
