On the title page: "Printed for the Bay View Reading Club . . . Detroit, Mich." Good condition (mild, normal shelf wear, not affecting contents.) Penciled signature of previous owner on front fly leaf.
A collection of essays, originally appearing in Harpers, and written as a result of the author's visit to Mexico. "Here Lummis calls attention to the tremendous material progress made by Mexico under the administration of Porfirio Diaz."
