("Katherine A. Tingley") on card with pressed dry seaweed. 6 ¾" x 4 ¼". With return stamped envelope postmarked May 2, 1899, Point Loma with bulls eye sock on nose cancellation slug. Verso envelope with North San Diego and San Diego postal cancellations. With a 1900 newspaper photo of Tingley. Very good.

Tingley (1847-1929), American theosophist; founder of the "Universal Brotherhood" (1898) with headquarters at Point Loma, California.

Provenance: L. N. Skinner estate.
