Volume itself has dark green covers (near black) with gilt borders and lettering on the spine and gilt borders on the front cover and a sharp Lakeside Press emblem in the middle of the front cover. There is a touch of wear at the head and tail of the spine and at corners. 182 pages plus an historical introduction of 32 pages by Caroline M. McIlvaine. Top of pages is gilt and outside of pages are deckled. NO OWNER NAMES, NO PRICE STAMPS, NO BOOKPLATES, NO UNDERLINING, NO HIGHLIGHTING, NOT EX-LIBRIS, NO DOGEARED PAGES, NO SMUDGES. There is a tissue guarded captioned frontispiece a portrait of Gurdon Saltonstall Hubbard at age 64. A signed R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company card stating with compliments of the season and signed by a James Flett(?) is included. The volume itself is covered by a clear archival quality Brodart cover that is easily removeable, if desired. A quite nice copy; given its age of over a century. Available for immediate shipment; carefully packed in a sturdy box.
