New York: Doubleday & Co., Inc., 1948 Red cloth boards with gilt imprinting on the front and spine. The spine is somewhat sun-faded, but the lettering is still quite legible. The back top corner is worn, else fine, but the rest of the covers are in great condition. 442 front deckle-edged pages which are clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased. The numerous b/w and color illustrations are in wonderful condition, bright and sharp. The front free endplate has a small inkspot in the bottom right corner which does not bleed through to the other side. The binding is good and tight. A fine collector's edition from a non-smoking household. We ship daily.. Cloth. Very Good +/No Jacket. Illus. by Dali, Salvador. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
