Whyalla Norrie: The Author, 1979. First Edition. Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Whyalla Norrie, The Author, 1979, 1983 (second, revised and enlarged edition), 1982 and 1985. Quarto, four volumes, with hundreds of illustrations. Cloth; edges of the first volume a little flecked; edges of third volume a little nibbled; overall an excellent group with the dustwrappers slightly creased at the extremities and a couple of slight tears. The first edition of 'Australian Banknotes' is inscribed, dated (27 January 1984) and signed by the author. The remaining volumes are all number 23 of a limited edition of only 50 copies signed by the author. The subtitle to 'Banks of Issue in Australia' is 'Early paper currencies from 1788, notes issued by banks 1817-1910, notes issued by state governments 1893-1910, notes overprinted by the Australian government (Superscribed notes) 1910-1914'.
