About This Item
Philadelphia, PA: Chilton, 1967. Book. New. Cloth. Early Reprint. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Philadelphia, PA, Chilton, 1967. First edition, second printing. 8vo. Taupe cloth with black lettering on spine, illustrated in black and white, 193 pp. This is the story of the big continent Down Under as seen through the eyes of one of its most prominent journalists. While not slighting geological and historical facts, the author manages to make his country infinitely more vivid through close-ups with some of its more important characters, and characters many of them are! Also highlighted are many of those phenomena of Australian life that make that part of the world truly unique. Dust jacket is slightly sunned on spine, has minor shelf-wear and a ½" flat tear on back cover. New, unread condition in a very good dust jacket, protected by a mylar cover..
