New York: The Vanguard Press, 1957. First Edition (1957.) Hardcover with dust jacket. 8vo with 182 pages. Signed presentation copy to surgeon Dr. Maxwell Andler on front free end paper by coauthor 'Robert E. Lee, "To Dr. Maxwell Andler-If you find another play like this in there, please leave it in! With gratitude for your wisdom and your friendship Robert E. Lee (Opening Morning, 1958.)" Dr. Maxwell Andler (1914-1996) was a survivor of the notorious Bataan Death March, Andler was later awarded a Bronze Star for the medical care he provided to his fellow soldiers during more than three years of imprisonment. He attended Sen. Robert F. Kennedy after Kennedy's assassination in 1968. The book is in very good condition. Interior is clean and tight. The dust jacket is in fair condition with some shelf wear, four 1/4" tears to edges, minute loss to top of spine, sun fading to spine, soiling and rubbing to edges. Pink spine/white black text. #031623 . Signed. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 8vo. Play.
