A catalog for a 1922 auction held by Heartman's, featuring many items related to Abraham Lincoln, as well as a broadside announcing the dissolution of the Union, an autograph manuscript of an expense account for making treaty with Native Americans, etc. With a four page order form for a bibliographical checklist book on the New England Primer. Bid sheet also laid in. Charles Heartman was an American bookseller, operating in Vermont and New York before relocating to New Jersey. He was noted for his knowledge and developments in the field of rare books, including African-American material (University of Southern Mississippi Libraries website). VERY GOOD condition. Minor offsetting along the front extremities. Minor creasing and soiling. McKay 8476.
