London: George Allen and Unwin Ltd, 1948. Capek's prophetic novel about an atomic explosive was first published in 1925 as "Krakatit." This is the reprinted edition, issued with a different titling. An American edition came out A Near Fine copy. Bright orange cloth binding with titling in black on the spine. Clean text; 294 pages. The dustwrapper, an evocative design, is Very Good, showing some edgewear, mostly at head and foot of spine. Unclipped; in an archival plastic protector.. Reprint Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
