About This Item

New York: Hunt & Eaton, 1889 From the personal collection of noted Atlantean scholar Henry M. Eichner. No Dust Jacket, previous owner's name (prior to Mr. Eichener) on inside of front board and page following ffep. This second inscription also includes purchasing history. Front board also has a store stamp and a date stamp showing "SEP 23 1936". There is a sharp tear (so straight and closed as to appear almost a slit) about 1 inch long at the bottom edge of the front facing end paper very near the spine. The cover is heavily scuffed and age darkened, although the front board is still clealy readable and shows the title and a lovely monochrome line drawing. The page edges are also browned, but the pages themselves are light with only very slight foxing and the text is clearly readable There is occasional slight soiling (due to normal handling) in the margins only. The binding is tight and sound. This is an exceptionally nice reading copy of this scarce volume.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Hardcover.
