About This Item

Philadelphia PA: John E. Potter and Company, 1882. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. From the title page: "ORIENTAL AND WESTERN SIBERIA: A NARRATIVE OF SEVEN YEARS' EXPLORATIONS AND ADVENTURES IN SIBERIA, MONGOLIA, THE KIRGHIS STEPPES, CHINESE TARTARY, AND PART OF CENTRAL ASIA BY THOMAS WITLAM ARKINSON. WITH NUMEROUS ILLUSTRATIONS" Only date stated appears to be 1882. 7 3/4" tall hardcover. Fraying and bumping along edges and corners of boards. Rubbing and general shelf wear to boards. A couple of small closed tears along spine area. Splitting along seams of end pages. POs name on second front end page. Pages are fairly tight but book will lay open. The PO has neatly underlined in red ink, proper names in the book. Otherwise pages appear unmarked. Book appears to have been read so I did see some finger marks. 483+ pages. The book is showing age and reading wear but is perfectly readable and is not falling apart in any way.
