London: J. Johnson, et al., 1799. 10th. Very Good+. Full Title: "Astronomy Explained Upon Sir Issac Newton's Principles, and made easy to those who have studied Mathematica. To which are added A Plain Method of finding the Distances of all the Planets from the Sun, by the transit of Venus over the Sun's Disc, in the Year 1761. An Account of Mr. Horrox's Observation of the transit of Venus in the year 1639: and, of the Distances of all the Planets from the Sun, as deduced from Observations of the Transit in the Year 1761." Complete with 18 fold out images and diagrams (including frontispiece) as well as numerous tables. Modern rebinding with new endpapers, marble boards, and leather spine; title label and 5 gilded lines on spine. Some discoloration and tears in fold outs, but all present and legible. Some minor spotting in the text, mostly opposite tables or engravings, all text legible. I did not see any notes or markings. Overall a very good copy.
