About This Item

This the deluxe lettered state of the Scorpion edition of Ruth Rendell's Asta's Book. Regarded by many as her most personal book. It carries a critical appreciation by the doyen of crime writing, Julian Symons. Among his remarks he points to the Barbara Vine novels as being among the finest during the Eighties. It is signed by Ruth Rendell and Julian Symons.

The binding is a fetching green morocco leather spine with five raised bands and gilt blocking. Matched by a patterned green marbled sides and top edge. The endpapers are green too.

The book has been in store for nearly thirty years as is offered as new.
