Paris: Marcel Guiot, 1928. Two volumes, complete. A PRISTINE COPY WITH AN ORIGINAL SIGNED ETCHING BY HEINTZELMAN LAID IN. Includes exhaustive descriptions of all 132 of Heintzelman's etchings, and BEAUTIFULLY-PRODUCED REPRODUCTIONS OF EACH STATE OF EVERY ETCHING (except for three extremely rare etchings that couldn't be located.) Edition limited to 325 numbered copies printed on very fine wove paper. THIS COPY, EXCEPTIONALLY, INCLUDES A PROOF OF "LA GRAND'MÈRE SUISSE" (1927, Dodgson 125) printed on Arches laid paper and SIGNED BY HEINTZELMAN. Folio (the work was published in this large format (33 x 25.4 cm) so the reproductions could all be original size. ENTIRELY UNCUT, FINE AND BRIGHT. A matchless set of perhaps the only standard catalogue of an American printmaker published in France.
