Burbank, CA: National Broadcasting Company [NBC], 1976. First Draft script in two volumes for the 1976 television miniseries based on Arthur Hailey's 1975 novel. Presentation script belonging to producer Ross Hunter with Hunter's name on the front board of each volume.
Boris Sagal directed this star-studded miniseries based on Arthur Hailey's fastidious novel. The laboriously researched story follows the happenings at a major bank, with heavy emphasis on interpersonal drama. Nominated for five Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited Series, winning Lead Actor for Christopher Plummer.
Volume I:
Green calf boards with guilt titles and rule. Title page present, dated May 18, 1976, noted as First Draft, with credits for screenwriters Dean Rieser and Stanford Whitmore. 221 leaves, with last page of text numbered 203. Mimeograph duplication, with blue, pink, and yellow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 4/26/76 and 6/25/76. Pages Fine, wrapper Fine.
Volume II:
Green faux leather covered boards with gilt titles and rule.
