New York: Harry N. Abrams, Inc. Publishers, (1980). First Edition. First Printing Fine in printed cloth covered boards with no text on the spine or boards. An oblong small quarto of 10 5/8 by 11 3/8 inches with orange end sheets. The fly title page and the very last printed page shows very faint spots of foxing. The top edge of the text block shows four tiny spot of coffee (?) and minor dust staining. The clear, printed acetate dust jacket is in fine condition. Signed by Maurice Sendak on the title page without an inscription or date. 278 pages of text and illustrations by Sendak throughout including one pop-up plate and three folding plates. A beautiful copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind.
