Virtue edition in the Shoreditch District Library is bound in dark blue buckram, with no dustjacket. The title-page states " with about twelve hundred engravings and diagrams". We have not checked the accuracy of this statement. Chapters include Fretwork and Inlaid work, Papier-mache, Carton-pierre, Japan and Lacquered Ware and Varnishes, Paper-hangings, Weaving, Tapestry, Carpets and Rugs, Lace-making and Embroidery, Floor-cloths and Table-covers, Fulling, Teazling, Shearing, Pressing and Bleaching, Calendering, Watering and Embossing, Dyeing, and Printing and Block and Roller Engraving.
