About This Item

Edinburgh: David Douglas, 1887. Hardcover. Very Good. Classic of Scottish Golf with the original leather spine (scuffed and frayed at the top) and paper covered card boards decorated with a copy of the winter medal of the "Humble Corps of Edinburgh Golfers" on the front and a pile of golf balls on the back. The front board is discoloured and a bit frayed at all corners, but otherwise sound. Inside the front hinge is becoming slightly detached, but there are no inscriptions and the pages are clean and clear apart from slight foxing to first and last couple of pages. Red endpapers. Photographs and drawings. A pioneering work. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall Very Good 1887
