This unusual and fascinating catalogue was produced to accompany the exhibition of chess pieces, the majority of which were designed in the 20th century, by artists as diverse as Marcel Duchamp and Yayoi Kusama, held in the Gilbert Collection at Somerset House, London from 28 June to 28 September 2003..
