1799. Original document. Very Good. Letterpress printed form, accomplished by hand. In part: "To the Sheriff of the County of Caledonia, his Deputy, or either Constable of Guildhall .... Nathaniel White of Lancaster in the County of Grafton & State of New Hampshire .... recovered Judgment against Jonathan Hopkinson of Lunenburg ... for the sum of three dollars & fourteen cents Damages, and one Dollar and eighteen cents Costs of Suit .... [to be levied against Jonathan, or] take the Body of the said Jonathan and him commit to the Keeper of the Gaol in Danville ... until he pay the full Sums ...." [signed] Daniel Dana, Justice Peace. Docketed on the verso, with additional contemporary notes in sepia ink. Printed on laid paper, 6.5" x 8" Daniel Dana served as a Chief Judge of Caledonia County, Vermont, from 1801 to 1807, 1809, and 1813-1814.
