In this comic satire of capitalism and progress by Leo Simpson, Addison Arkwright as he attempts fo expose his corrupt uncle who seeks to profit from a religion founded on the worship of failure, amongst of schemes.
Leo Simpson was a Canadian author and journalist, who also served as publicity editor of Macmillan Publishers Canada, as well as being a writer in residence at both the University of Ottawa and the University of Western Ontario. Thomas E. Tausly in The Oxford Companion of Canadian Literature, second edition, describes Simpson as a "rarity among Canadian writers" and a "comic novelist of ideas." This edition may be described as being in good condition, with some staining to the back cover and a tear to the bottom of the back cover. This edition is inscribed and signed by the other.
