London. Hodder & Stoughton. 1937 1st edition. Hardback. 9 x 6 inches. In blue cloth covers with gilt lettering to spine. In very good condition. Spine faded, light fading around edges. Minor scratches to boards. Inside pages clean and tight. Else a very clean and tight copy. The expedition was composed of Oxford University students with a Leader and a Sergeant of the RCMP. They spent the winter of 1934/5 in Northern Greenland and then split into three groups to explore further, one group discovering a new range of mountains. 319pp. Many b&w photo illustrations, illustrated tailpeices, b&w maps and diagrams. Large folding coloured map at rear.
