About This Item

Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, 1924. Unbound. Very Good. A collection of 8 framed and matted sepia-toned or black and white silver-gelatin photographs measuring between 10" x 14" and 15" x 13" and 1 certificate belonging to Murdo McKenzie while attending Bucknell University between 1921 and 1924. All items are very good or better, unexamined out of frame.

A small archive of images and a certificate detailing the college athletic career of Murdo McKenzie while attending Bucknell University in Pennsylvania between 1921 and 1925. The collection includes group photos of the numerous teams that McKenzie played for including the basketball, baseball, and football teams. They are seen in full uniforms in most posed with their names handwritten on the matt below. One photo of the football team in 1922 shows the athletes well-dressed in suits and ties. McKenzie clearly showed an aptitude for sports and was made captain of the 1922 basketball team and the 1925 baseball team. One photo shows the 1922 "champs" posed with the members of the Basketball fraternity. A certificate featured here reads that he received the Varsity B in baseball for the 1922 season.

An interesting collection following a versatile college athlete.
