Stirling and Slade, 1820. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 2 octavo volumes. Full leather,raised bands to spine. Bookplate of Henry John Spencer Churchill to each front pastedown. Also stamped emblem with H I S Churchill to first leaves. Other owner names. Volume 1 has frontispiece map of Grecia Antiquua and 6 engravings, damp stained. Pages 497-510 all present but detached (including 4 engravings of wrestling). Binding well-handled and bumped . Volume 2 - same binding though splits at hinges. Over 20 plates, pages clean but heavily ruffled. 422 pages. Appendix - A Concise general History of the Early Grecian States (112 pages).
